Landslide forces Italy to declare state of emergency

Italy declared a state of emergency on Nov. 27 after a landslide on the southern island of Ischia damaged several cars, shops and hotels and killed one person, Deccan Herald reported. A wave of mud and debris hit the small town of Casamicciola Terme on Nov. 26, engulfing at least one house and sweeping cars down to the sea.
