Outlook for Argentina’s insurance industry remains ‘negative’

U.S.-based ratings agency A.M. Best Co. Inc. has maintained its “negative” outlook for Argentina’s insurance industry, as the country continues to face economic challenges, Reinsurance News reported. A.M. Best said that the growth of Argentina’s insurance industry has remained below the inflation rate, and the continued surge in inflation along with the slowdown predicted in both domestic and global economic activity are expected to further weigh down Argentina’s economy and insurance sector.
