Lloyd’s syndicates could still offer “respectable” returns after Hurricane Ian

Analysts at U.K.-based Argenta Holdings Ltd. expect that Lloyd’s syndicates could still generate “respectable” returns for underwriting members for 2022 despite the impacts of Hurricane Ian that battered Florida in September, Reinsurance News reported. According to Argenta, Lloyd’s syndicates generally have a lower-than-average market footprint in Florida which reduces their exposure to the hurricane-related losses, while the higher rates across almost all lines of business could help them yield considerable returns.
