Convoy blockades hit nearly $3 billion worth of trade last winter

Canada’s transport department said that the border blockades by truckers against COVID-19 restrictions and vaccine mandates last winter affected nearly $3.9 billion Canadian ($2.9 billion) worth of trade activity, CBC reported. The blockades threatened businesses, with the six-day blockade of the Ambassador Bridge alone affecting an estimated CAD2.3 billion worth of trade.
