Violent protests break out against strict COVID-19 lockdowns

China’s strict COVID-19 lockdowns have triggered violent protests in Guangzhou, a manufacturing hub and one of the largest cities in the country, Republic World reported. The stringent lockdowns have resulted in suspension of flights, public transport and has affected business activities, disrupting global supply chains.
