Stellantis halts Italian factory for two days due to parts shortage

Dutch automobile firm Stellantis NV has suspended production at its Melfi, Italy-based factory for two days on Nov. 9 and 10, due to a shortage of a component that uses microchips, Reuters reported. The recurring production disruption at Stellantis’ Melfi plant due to the global chip shortages has affected the factory’s output, leading to the production of only 130,000 cars so far this year.
