Everest Re hires UK casualty leader from Axa

David Mann has been named vice president, head of casualty, for Everest Reinsurance (Bermuda) Ltd., U.K. branch, effective January, Everest Re, a unit of Everest Re Group Ltd., said Wednesday.

Mr. Mann was previously senior underwriter and line of business manager at Axa XL, a unit of Axa SA, according to LinkedIn.

He will be based in London and report to Mark Wallace, vice president, deputy chief underwriting officer and head of long tail for the operation.

Mr. Mann is assuming some of the duties of Mr. Wallace, who was promoted from his previous position as senior casualty underwriter in September, according to a spokeswoman.

In his new position, David will be in charge of the London casualty treaty portfolio and professional lines, Everest Re said.
