Christopher Hui Ching-yu, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, said Hong Kong is exploring two possible ways of adding insurance products to its cross-border investment platforms with Mainland China, Asia Insurance Review reported citing South China Morning Post. The government is deliberating over whether to integrate insurance products with the Wealth Management Connect program launched in 2021 or in a stand-alone Insurance Connect program to allow cross-border sale of policies within the 11 cities in the Greater Bay Area.
