Indiana county swaps health insurers to save nearly $3 million in costs

By changing health insurance companies for employee health care benefits, Madison County, Indiana, will save $2.8 million next year, the Tribune Star reports. By switching from Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield to Private Healthcare Systems Inc., the county’s total cost for employee health insurance will be reduced from $12.1 million to $9.3 million.
