UK has only nine-day supply of gas for its energy needs

As the gas shortage continues to haunt Europe, energy company British Gas Services Ltd. has warned that the U.K. only has gas supplies to fulfil demand for nine days, while Germany and France have enough to cover 89 and 103 days, respectively, Coventry Telegraph reported. British Gas’ parent Centrica PLC has reopened its North Sea gas storage site ahead of the winter to boost supply and combat the fossil fuel shortage.
