Oman Re’s underwriting profit more than doubles

Oman Reinsurance Co. SAOC’s underwriting profits jumped 127% year-on-year to nearly 3 million Omani rial ($7.4 million) in the first nine months of the year despite high market volatility, Middle East Insurance Review reported. The reinsurer’s gross written premium increased 30% to more than OMR31 million.
