Labuan Re’s strong positioning in hard market to drive moderate growth

Ratings agency A.M. Best Co. Inc. expects Malaysia-based reinsurer Labuan Reinsurance (L) Ltd. to record moderate growth over the medium term, driven by its positioning in a hard reinsurance market, Asia Insurance Review reported. Labuan Re's management have taken remedial actions that have improved the reinsurer’s underwriting performance over the past few years after facing financial volatility due to catastrophe losses.
