BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Halloween homeowners’ stunt nothing to snicker about

Halloween

Oh, what would a trick-or-treater do for a full-size Snickers bar? Not vandalize your house? Maybe.

Lemonade digital insurance company and the advertising firm BBDO New York came up with a new scheme to help homeowners avoid what the insurer has noticed an uptick in recent years: burglary and vandalism claim on Halloween, according to media news site Little Black Book.

The plan? Announce, via signage and décor for select policyholders, that a home is giving out chocolate, full-size nutty caramel and nougat treats in exchange for no tricks.

As the insurance company said, “While we know Snickers may not be able to stop all the tricksters out there, we’re hopeful that Lemonade policyholders remain trick-free this spooky season, and having everyone’s favorite Halloween treat on hand doesn’t hurt!”
