Delaware extends retiree health plan after court halts Medicare Advantage switch

In a major reversal, Delaware officials voted to keep the current health care plan for state retirees for 2023 after a Superior Court judge blocked the state’s Medicare Advantage plan from going into effect next year, reports Delaware Online. Gov. John Carney’s administration had said for weeks a Medicare Advantage plan would be moving forward and could not be changed, even when lawmakers asked for a pause, according to the report.
