Swiss Re sees increased demand for reinsurance, reduced capacity

Frank Reichelt, head of Northern, Central & Eastern Europe at Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd., said that the reinsurer is seeing a strong growth in demand for reinsurance amid growing inflation, Reinsurance News reported. At the same time Swiss Re sees that, in certain areas, notably natural catastrophe, reinsurance capacity is actually shrinking as reinsurers reduce their appetite.
