Floods declared an ‘insurance catastrophe’

The Insurance Council of Australia has declared the recent floods affecting southeast Australia an “insurance catastrophe,” as the floods continue to become more severe, Artemis reported. The floods have mainly affected New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria and have triggered more than 6,300 insurance claims so far.
