Italy’s air traffic controllers have announced a 24-hour strike on Oct. 21 over working conditions and wages, which has forced several airlines to cancel hundreds of flights to and from Italy, affecting more than 250,000 passengers, Simple Flying reported. The industrial action has forced Italian flag carrier ITA Airways SpA to cancel over 200 domestic and international flights, while Irish low-cost carrier Ryanair DAC has canceled over 600 flights.
