Strike

South Africa-based logistics firm Transnet SOC's unit Transnet Port Terminals said that staff shortages caused by an ongoing strike over wages at South Africa's Durban port are causing supply chain disruptions for a number of industries, Nasdaq reported citing Reuters. The strike has affected waterside and landside operations at its Durban port, which handles 65% of South Africa's container volume, and could also disrupt fruit, vehicle and mining product exports.
