Delaware shift to Medicare Advantage for retirees sparks backlash

Posted On: Oct. 12, 2022 10:07 AM CST

The Delaware General Assembly will hold a special session later this month to vote on adding more oversight to the transition of state retirees’ health care plan to Medicare Advantage, a move that has been protested in recent weeks, reports Delaware Online. Retirees have sued to block the transition and are hoping the court will make a ruling before an Oct. 24 deadline later this month for them to opt into Medicare Advantage, or lose state-funded benefits for 2023.
