Dutchie.com adds insurance for cannabis sector

Dutchie.com, an online technology platform offering e-commerce services to the cannabis industry, said Wednesday it has launched Dutchie Insurance.

The company said in a statement that it plans to offer coverage, including property, physical products and lawsuits, for cannabis growers, manufacturers and wholesalers, medical dispensaries and recreational retailers.

Mauricio Comi, head of insurance at Dutchie, said in the statement that cannabis businesses need appropriate insurance coverage.

Its other services include Dutchie POS and Dutchie Pay.
