CVS taps former Optum exec Desai to lead health care delivery unit

CVS Health Corp. has appointed Amar Desai, a former Optum Inc. executive, to lead its new health care delivery unit, reports Healthcare Dive. Effective Oct. 17, Desai will lead CVS’ newly created health care delivery division as president of health care delivery, the report says. That includes CVS’ clinical delivery strategy in retail health, chronic disease management and behavioral health.
