Arab insurance federation calls for regional nat cat insurance pool

Chakib Abuzaid, secretary-general of the General Arab Insurance Federation, suggested that insurers and reinsurers serving Arab nations should come together to form a natural catastrophe insurance pool, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing Al Mal News. Mr. Abuzaid said that the Arab countries need more insurance protection against natural disasters that are becoming increasingly severe.
