Retailer Easylife fined $1.7 million for GDPR violation

The U.K.’s Information Commissioner’s Office fined leading catalog retailer Easylife Ltd. nearly £1.5 million ($1.7 million) for breaching the General Data Protection Regulation and marketing laws, Infosecurity Magazine reported. Easylife has been accused of profiling its customers using their personal information to target them with health-related products without their consent.
