Chile's environmental regulator has filed four charges against Canadian metals mining company Lundin Mining Corp. over the development of a sinkhole near one of its Alcaparrosa copper mine in July, Reuters reported. The regulator has accused the company of overextraction and construction outside of environmentally approved zones. The company could face more than $13 million in fine and could lose its environmental permit or face closure.
