Liquefied natural gas (LNG) manufacturer Malaysia LNG declared force majeure on LNG supplies to its customers due to a leak on the Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline on Sept. 21, Reuters reported. This affects Malaysia LNG’s customers, including Japanese utilities, and comes at a time when several countries, especially in Europe, are scrambling to ensure adequate gas supply for upcoming winters amid the energy crisis fueled by the Russia-Ukraine war.
