Cresta hikes insured loss estimates for European floods by 15%

Insurance industry organization Cresta has updated insured and reinsured loss estimate for the July 2021 European floods to $13.8 billion – a 15% increase over the previous estimate of $12 billion, Artemis reported. The increase in estimated losses reflects continued loss creep from the floods that caused the bulk of insured damages in Germany.
