UK launches PI insurance program for cladding assessors

The U.K. government has launched a new five-year professional indemnity insurance program in collaboration with insurers Aon PLC, Scor SE and MGAM Ltd. for property surveyors assessing cladding of mid-and high-rise buildings, The Negotiator reported. This comes amid a significant shortage of insurance companies willing to offer professional indemnity cover for assessors of external wall systems of buildings in the U.K.
