Workers’ strike halts tire and car production

Around 5,600 tire industry workers went on a strike in Argentina, forcing tire manufacturers, including Bridgestone Corp. and Pirelli & C. SpA, to suspending production, Buenos Aires Times reported citing A24 and TN news channels. The impact of the industrial action has also forced carmakers Toyota Motor Corp. and Ford Motor Co. to halt production at their Argentine plants as they have run out of tires.
