Hub introduces hospitality captive

Hub International Ltd. said Monday it launched a medical stop loss captive to help hospitality employers in the U.S. and those with cross-border operations in Canada manage their health care costs and fund employee benefits.

The group captive is aimed at hospitality employers with stable claims experience, predictable cash flow and more than 75 covered employees, Chicago-based Hub said.

Hub declined to disclose where in the U.S. the captive is domiciled.

The hospitality benefits captive provides specific and aggregate stop-loss coverage against the high cost of ongoing and catastrophic claims and integrated cost management on medical and pharmacy benefits, Hub said in a statement and on its website.
