Rhode Island approves reduced range of health insurance rates

Rhode Island insurance regulators approved commercial health insurance rate hikes for 2023 with modifications for individual, small and large group plans, Providence Business News reports. The Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner announced Sept. 21 approved rate hikes of 5.7% to 8.9% for large group rates, 3.5% to 9.7% for small group rates and 3.1% to 8.2% for individual rates.
