Economic damage by organized crime groups more than doubles

According to a report by Germany’s Federal Criminal Police Office, economic damage caused by organized crime groups more than doubled to $2.2 billion in the country in 2021, TRT World reported. The number of investigative proceedings against criminal gangs for cybercrimes, economic damages, violence, and drug trade increased to almost 700 in 2021, up from 594 in 2020.
