Swiss Re eyes cyber segment but maintains cautious approach

Thierry Leger, group chief underwriting officer at Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd., said that cyber reinsurance will become a major business line for the reinsurer at some point in near future; however, it is still taking cautious efforts to expand into this relatively new segment, Reinsurance News reported. The reinsurer is waiting for more accurate modeling and pricing structure before it starts underwriting cyber risks.
