Cowbell unveils cyber program, creates subsidiary

Cowbell Cyber Inc. said Wednesday it is introducing another cyber program and has created a new subsidiary, Cowbell Specialty Insurance Co.

The Pleasanton, California-based insurer said the program bundles risk management tools and services with coverage so that policyholders can continuously address changes in the threat landscape. 

Cowbell said also with its new Cowbell Specialty, it joins a panel of 15 insurers and reinsurers that support its Cowbell Prime cyber insurance programs.

It said paired with Cowbell Re, the company’s reinsurance captive, Cowbell Specialty allows for additional flexibility and control.

Cowbell Inc. said last month it has hired Julia Cederroth, formerly a cyber broker at Gallagher Re, as senior director of reinsurance.
