Centene to pay Texas $165.6 million in latest settlement of Medicaid overcharging suits

Centene Corp. will pay Texas $165.6 million to settle the state's investigation into whether the payer violated Medicaid fraud laws, the Texas Attorney General's Office announced Sept. 19, reports Becker’s Payer Issues. The settlement is the latest in a series of payments Centene has made to states over allegations the company overcharged state Medicaid programs for prescription drugs and services.
