Shipping industry faces high cyber security risk: AGCS

Rahul Khanna, global head of Marine Risk Consulting at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE, said that digitalization of the maritime industry has increased the industry’s exposure to cyber risks, Business Day reported. Mr. Khanna highlighted that all four shipping industry giants, including A.P. Moller-Maersk AS, have faced cyber attacks in the recent years, with the threat growing with more frequent and sophisticated cyber attacks and usage of cyberwarfare in geopolitical conflicts.
