Everest Insurance, the insurance division of Everest Re Group Ltd., said Monday it has named a new senior vice president and vice president.

Everest said Casey Hartley, who joined the Warren, New Jersey-based insurer Everest as wholesale casualty chief underwriting officer, has been named senior vice president and head of U.S. wholesale casualty.

Ms. Hartley replaces Michael Finnegan, who has left the company, according to a spokeswoman. She reports to Dave Sandler, president of U.S. casualty for Everest Insurance.

Everest named Danielle Stewart to the newly created role of vice president and national head of wholesale distribution. She reports to Marcus Cooper, senior vice president and head of North America distribution for Everest Insurance.

Ms. Stewart was previously director of business strategy at Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, where she was responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives for midsized commercial profit centers.

In June, Everest announced that its president of global property will retire in mid-July and appointed three executives to take over his responsibilities.
