BCBS Massachusetts teams up with VillageMD to expand primary care

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is collaborating with value-based primary care company VillageMD to expand primary care offerings in the state, Becker’s Payer Issues reports. Chicago-based VillageMD is building a network of accessible primary care practices in Massachusetts focused on disease prevention, chronic condition management and healthy lifestyles, the report says. VillageMD also aims to ensure that BCBS members have timely access to care at its practices, the report says.
