Insurance crisis hurts amusement parks and events industry

The Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association said that steep insurance rate hikes and limited insurance capacity is hurting the Australian events and festival industry, Canberra Times reported citing the Australian Associated Press. Theme parks and event businesses have seen almost a 300% surge in insurance rates over the last couple of years along with a reduction in insurance options.
