Axa transforms into internal reinsurer for its insurance business

French insurance holding company Axa SA has completed merger with its captive reinsurer, Axa Global Re to facilitate its transformation into an internal reinsurer for its insurance business, Xprimm reported. With this, Axa SA will reinsure some of its European property and casualty insurance carriers for this year through annually renewable 25% quota-share reinsurance treaties.
