Clint Eastwood

The marijuana companies using Clint Eastwood to sell CBD products are unforgiven, apparently.

The 92-year-old actor has won his second lawsuit against online marketers who used his likeness without permission, according to Vanity Fair.

The latest verdict, handed down last week, awarded Mr. Eastwood and Garrapata, the company that owns the rights to his likeness, $2 million in damages. The suit alleged that a California-based marketing company, Norok Innovation, leveraged Mr. Eastwood’s celebrity status to drive online traffic to a website selling CBD products.

Fabricated news articles and manipulated search results made it appear as if Mr. Eastwood endorsed the products. The claim argued that these were “products he likely would have been unwilling to endorse in the first place,” according to the article.

It appears Mr. Eastwood is up for more brawls, as similar lawsuits are pending against other marketing firms and the CBD companies themselves.
