Toxic gas leak after accident at port kills 13, halts operations

A toxic gas leak from the crashing of a storage tank filled with 25 tons of chlorine at Jordan’s Aqaba port on June 27 killed 13 people and sickened more than 250 others, The Guardian reported citing Al-Mamlaka. The incident prompted evacuation of Aqaba’s southern beach and also forced the suspension of operations at Aqaba grain silos.
