Stellantis to suspend production at French factory due to chip shortage

Ongoing semiconductor shortage has forced Netherlands-based carmaker Stellantis NV to suspend production at several factories, with the company announcing it latest production cut at Rennes-La Janais Citroen plant in Brittany, France, Reuters reported. The Rennes plant will halt production on July 3, while the carmaker has extended production halt at its Sochaux Peugeot in eastern France until the end of next week.
