Everest Reinsurance hires former Axa XL exec as head of claims

Everest Reinsurance, Everest Re Group Ltd.’s reinsurance division, said Wednesday that Brent Hoffman, formerly Axa XL’s chief claims officer, will join the company as senior vice president, head of claims and chief operations officer at the end of July.

The company, which is based in Hamilton, Bermuda, said Mr. Hoffman will report to Jim Williamson, Everest Group chief operating officer and head of reinsurance.

Everest Reinsurance said that as Axa XL’s chief claims officer, Mr. Hoffman was responsible for leading its global claims strategy and operations across multiple business lines and geographies.
