Japanese carmaker Toyota Motor Corp. is appealing the Australian Federal Court’s April class-action ruling that could make Toyota liable to pay around $2 billion in damages to more than 260,000 customers in Australia for faults in their Toyota vehicles, News.com.au reported. The class-action covers Toyota HiLux, Prado and Fortuner diesel vehicles that were sold between 2015 and 2020, allegedly fitted with faulty diesel particulate filters.
