Safety National reorganizes leadership

Safety National Casualty Corp.  said Tuesday that former president Duane Hercules has become CEO, succeeding former chairman and CEO Mark Wilhelm, who has been named executive chairman of the company. 

The appointments became effective June 14, Safety National said in a statement. 

Mr. Hercules and Mr. Wilhelm will share responsibility for Safety National’s business operations and financial results, Safety National said. 

John Csik has moved into the role of president and is responsible for directing all insurance and reinsurance operations. Mr. Csik was previously chief operating officer and chief financial officer. 

Cyndee Morton, former executive vice president operations and chief innovation officer, has become chief operating officer and chief innovation officer.  

Other leadership changes include: 

Former Executive Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer Gus Aivaliotis was named chief underwriting officer; 

Tom Grove, previously executive vice president and chief business development officer, became chief client officer; 

Steve Divine was named chief financial officer. Mr. Divine was previously senior vice president and chief accounting officer. 

Seth Smith, former executive vice president underwriting, became executive vice president and chief underwriting officer – insurance underwriting; 

Nick Kriegel became senior vice president of operations and general counsel. Mr. Kriegel was previously senior vice president and general counsel.
