Health care startup Sesame has raised $27 million in a Series B financing round led by GV, Google’s venture funding arm, to grow its pay-per-visit alternative to health insurance, TechCrunch reports. New York City-based Sesame is a two-sided marketplace populated by physicians and patients only. The startup claims that it can lower the price of health care by cutting out the bureaucracy and rules associated with health insurance.
