Swiss Re cautious about expanding into cyber segment

Thierry Leger, group chief underwriting officer at Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd., said that the reinsurer is taking its time to better understand cyber risks before increasing its underwriting capacity for the sector, Reinsurance News reported. Mr. Leger said that the cyber reinsurance is a relatively new sector, with high demand, surging rates and massive risks, and the reinsurer is investing in research and development to better understand it.
