Hudson names head of new general partners liability unit

Hudson Insurance Group Wednesday named David A. Garrison senior vice president and head of its new general partners liability unit and introduced a product for asset managers.

New York-based Hudson, a specialty insurance unit of Odyssey Group Holdings Inc., said in a statement that Mr. Garrison, who was formerly senior vice president in Great American Insurance Group’s executive liability division, will oversee the development of a portfolio designed to meet asset managers’ needs.

Hudson’s new product offers up to $10 million in limits and is designed to support a variety of funds, including venture capital, real estate, asset-based lending or leasing, commercial credit, hedge funds, mezzanine debt and private equity.
