Hartford promotes construction executive

David DeSilva

Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. on Wednesday said David DeSilva has been promoted to head of construction for middle and large commercial.  

Mr. DeSilva is responsible for the company’s retail construction portfolio. Based in Washington, D.C., he reports to Gretchen Thompson, head of inland marine, excess solutions and complex liability solutions, and media, arts and entertainment. 

He was most recently regional vice president, construction casualty for The Hartford’s mid-Atlantic, Northeast and North Central regions within its construction division.
