Samsung to cut annual smartphone production by 30 million units

South Korea-based Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. plans to cut its annual production of smartphones by 30 million units to 280 million units this year due to the supply chain disruptions and parts shortage triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic and Ukraine war, Firstpost reported citing Maeil Business News. Some analysts also expect the company to reduce its annual production by as much as 35% if the Russia-Ukraine war continues to rage.
